Remy Mohamed works for the independent charity INQUEST as Grenfell Project Coordinator. This role involves working with bereaved families and survivors, keeping a watching brief on the public Inquiry and coordinating meetings with lawyers representing families. Remy delivered a Tedx talk titled “Dignity and Defiance after Disaster” which was based on Grenfell.
Prior to working in the third sector, she spent 13 years working as a Duty Solicitor practicing criminal defence law in legal aid high street firms and representing vulnerable adults and children.
Remy is a firm believer in access to justice and the importance of legal aid. She has campaigned against legal aid cuts.
Remy volunteers for a number of community outreach projects and charities. In her spare time, she loves travelling and watching sport.
