In the current climate the balance of national security on the one hand and protection and preservation of basic fundamental human rights on the other is critical. The seminar is posed to explore the need to protect the public and the government strategy on this together with a close examination of how successful such meashres have been and their impact on baic human rights in conunction with an exploration of the lawyer's role in this paradigm.
