Regional Branch - Wales & South West
The Association of Muslim Lawyers recognises the importance of extending its supportive role and assistance beyond the parameters of London and seeks to address and tackle adversity faced by individual groups irrespective of their racial or religious make-up.
AML has offered its supporting hand to a growing number of Muslim professionals based within the South West and Wales region by adding a new executive committee of Muslim Lawyers with a local connection to work towards the provision of nationally accessible services.
The South West and Wales Association of Muslim Lawyers (SWW) seeks to provide the following:
- active encouragement and support of vulnerable groups in the procurement of legal services in accordance with Shariah law.
- to work towards the furtherance of Muslims legal rights within the UK and to ensure that views of minorities are accounted for in local governmental policies.
- to work with the AML in London to facilitate national understanding and proactive lobbying for fair and equal treatment of ethnic and religious minorities.
- To promote community cohesion between Muslim and non-Muslim groups in furtherance of the fulfilment of AML aims and objectives.
- To facilitate contact between Muslim Lawyers and Muslims generally throughout the UK.
- to provide guidance on entering into the legal profession and provide ongoing support to trainees/pupils and professionals within the legal framework.
- to work towards creating a nationally recognisable voice representing Muslim Lawyers in the UK.
The SWW branch of AML welcomes all those interested, irrespective of your religious and racial origin, to become a member of AML.
